Ron has delivered leadership programmes for hundreds of executives at companies such as Barclays, Shell and Unilever in Southern Africa and across 11 countries in Africa. This enables him to share with his clients industry best practice and an extensive repertoire of techniques, readings and resources.
Ron is a visiting lecturer in coaching, leadership, strategy and personal mastery at University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB-ED). With USB he has developed a leadership programme to develop more empowering, collaborative and inclusive cultures for professional service firms.
He has worked across all sectors including financial services, fintech, FMCG, IT, medical research, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, retail and transportation. His clients include directors at companies such as Ernst & Young, PepsiCo and Woolworths.
Ron also coaches for a firm called 10x-e where he coaches young entrepreneurial CEO’s of rapid scale up SME’s. The purpose is to grow the company whilst contributing to South African employment generation for diverse talent.
Ron started his career as an entrepreneur. As MD of an exhibition company he launched the Light Dimensions of holography at the London Science Museum in the UK. The show attracted 250,000 visitors, was short listed for the Guinness Book of records, and was featured on UK’s Channel Four news.
After emigrating to South Africa from the UK in 2004 Ron co-founded Connected Leadership which launched a high potentials program to BP. Over the last 7 years this program has been rolled out to Europe, US and China. Independent research has proven that people on the programme accelerate their career development and increase retention by more than 100%.
