He uses a combination of integral, GROW model and neuroscience in his coaching. His coaching is aimed at effecting the desired change in individuals’ personal and professional lives on the basis that to achieve success, all parts and the interrelationship must be examined. Every part must be seen as unique and yet has connection and is influenced by the other part. These parts include the individual emotions and thoughts, body and behaviour, culture and relationship, and systems and environment. Therefore, growth and development are achieved on the basis that every coaching client has solutions to their problems and have the capacity to learn and develop in a system that is interrelated and is influenced by the various parts.

Abas in his executive role developed several leaders who are today occupying leadership positions across the continent. In one of such roles, he recruited, coached and mentored leaders across the continent where he developed love and passion for Africa and her people. Talent is scarce which is why his coaching is focused on career, executive and leadership development.

He is a life-long learner who believes in continuous learning for personal and professional growth and development. He is an accredited coach (ACC) with International Coaching Federation (ICF) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Coaching. He is the founder of several companies including Realising Dreams Coaching with practice across Africa continent. He has coached leaders in some of the companies listed on the Stock Exchanges across the continent.

He is the Executive officer in charge of Coaching in Organisations of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), South Africa Chapter.

He was the Executive head in charge of Corporate and Investment Banking audit for Standard Bank Group and previously held the position of Executive head of Internal Audit for Standard Bank Africa. Prior to joining Standard Bank Group, he was the Head of Internal audit for Stanbic IBTC Holding PLC and was the Director of Internal Audit and later Director of Finance and Administration for the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) in Accra, Ghana.

He has over 35 years’ experience in risk management, internal and external audit, forensic examination, finance, bank operations and branch management. His experience spanned Nigeria, West Africa and Africa continent.
