Mpume has nearly 30 years of corporate experience having worked across different industries in senior and executive roles. Some of the roles were in finance, marketing and business strategy. Mpume has extensive coaching experience globally, working with diverse individuals and teams across different levels from graduates to executives.

When working with a client Mpume creates a safe space for honest conversations. A space where vulnerability is encouraged so that change can be embraced.  Mpume partners with the individual to be their support, thinking and accountability partner as well as be the person to challenge the thinking, beliefs and any other assumptions.

Mpume has been coaching, facilitating, and speaking for the past 7 years, working with individuals and teams. She works with multinationals, JSE-listed organisations as well as various business schools.

Mpume’s extensive work experience has allowed her to work with teams and individuals across all levels. Her initial engagements focus on self-awareness using different tools like the Enneagram, and Strength Finder just to mention a few. She is a champion of embracing change and she brings that as well to her coaching conversations.   Mpume is an experienced facilitator who has a passion for programmes related to personal mastery, personal branding in the workplace, diversity and inclusion, women in leadership and high-performing teams. She also facilitates career workshops and work-readiness programmes for graduates and new hires.

She is qualified with an MBA, and Certificate in Business Coaching and has Enneagram certification.  Mpume is accredited as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Mpume earned her stripes in the corporate world having worked in different roles in finance, marketing, business strategy and product management. She has nearly 30 years of work experience having worked for multinational and JSE-listed organisations like Unilever, Nestle, MTN, Ericsson and the Multichoice Group.  She co-founded a marketing consultancy, Onyx Marketing Communications.  Her roles in the past 20 years were executed at the senior management level with a huge focus on delivering on the business strategy and driving business growth and thought leadership.

In the past 4 years, Mpume founded her own coaching and personal development practice which focuses on coaching, personal development, business strategy and leadership consulting.  Her incredible experience in corporate has been invaluable in her empathising and supporting her clients.  The practice focuses on one on one and group coaching, facilitation, creation of bespoke programmes, speaking to inspire employees and strategic advisory and consulting.

Her work experience and her passion to share knowledge have allowed her to supervise MBA entrepreneurship students at GIBS, and lecture and coach at various business schools.

She is an advocate for corporate governance, which is one of the reasons she got a certification as a Certified Director. She is passionate about seeing organisations succeed, be good corporate citizens, and be sustainable. She is a former Member Trustee, Member of the Investment Committee and Communications Committee for the MRetirement Fund. Currently a Non-Executive Director for investment company Public and Proper and TKR3 Solutions.
