Trish is a Cape Town-based business coach focusing on building leadership, developing self-improvement strategies and strengthening teams. She supports clients to create value for themselves and those they impact. Her methodology helps clients grow solutions, not problems, that fit with the client’s unique self and context.
Since 2008, Trish has been coaching leaders, professionals and teams, acquiring multi-sectoral exposure, expertise, and experience in private, public, and civil society sectors. She has worked with finance, health, education, wholesale, IT, renewable energy and national and provincial government clients. Her highest qualification is a Master of Philosophy in Management Coaching Degree from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She recently co-authored a paper published in an international academic journal on a topic involving teams, meaning making and employee experience.
Trish’s academic and industry experience informs her methodology and how she works with her clients. She offers the client autonomy in the coaching process, focus areas, and decisions to take forward. This way, any growth and improvements are likely sustained. Her work lies on the foundation that people support what they help create. Trish works with clients who want to:
- Establish presence
- Strengthen relationships
- Fulfil a purpose/vision
- Manage competing demands
- Gain clarity under challenging situations
- Set goals and co-create progress
- Be heard in a self-promoting environment
Aside from her coaching experience, Trish served as a Board Member with the International Coach Federation: SA Chapter to advance the art and practice of coaching as a profession in South Africa (2017-2018 and 2021). She also brings clients her HR acumen, gained over 15 years. Trish has worked in executive search and recruitment, delivered training to all levels of the organisation, and offered general consulting services to businesses. Her interest in people and team development was born in the early stages of her career whilst at Standard Bank.
Trish’s client said:
“The coaching sessions were inspiring, relieving, insightful and energizing. They opened up valuable new perspectives on my current situation. It is amazing that in just a short time I was able to view my situation from an entirely new angle, and suddenly see the road to my ultimate dream and solutions. Trish introduced me to the concepts of being present and making space. She helped guide me to surround myself with situations and tasks that were good for me and for my goals while eliminating the energy involved in tasks and relationships that were not.
Her coaching was the start of my journey into future leadership positions by providing me with the foundation for growth and success. I want to emphasize that Trish did not tell me what to do, nor did she make decisions for me. Instead, she helped me develop ways to deal with situations using my own knowledge and self-awareness, also plans or concepts for what I want my career to look like going forward.” I am very grateful.
