An executive leader, now Coach, who has worked in the People space for more than thirty years with experience both locally and in the UK. Jane brings a pragmatic and REAL approach to coaching to enable clients to be at their best both professionally and in their personal lives too.
In 2014 after graduating cum laude at Stellenbosch University whilst completing the MPhil in Management Coaching, Jane further developed her own business which she had started earlier that year.

Jane was the Group HR Executive at Oceana Group Ltd, the largest listed fishing company in South Africa until February 2014 when she left to establish her own business. She worked for Oceana for 17 years. She is a seasoned HR generalist with experience in all aspects of the human resource field: remuneration and reward, industrial relations, recruitment and selection, performance management, learning and development and organisational development. She was a member of the group’s executive committee and provided advice on all aspects relating to people to her Exco and Board colleagues and senior managers in the business in addition to leading the HR function for the group.
In 2019 she was asked to return to Oceana to provide a mentoring role which became an interim post as Group HR Executive for 18 months. This period included leading the People function through the initial phase of the COVID pandemic and playing an integral role on the Executive task team supporting the business. This experience has added to her own leadership insights and experience which provides a richer coaching depth when working with corporate clients.
Since 2014 Jane has established and run her own Leadership Coaching and Consulting business gaining exposure to many different industries across South Africa. She has also mentor coached students on the Management Coaching Masters programme every year helping the students develop their coaching models and competence.
Jane works with leaders at all levels in an organisation but most often at the senior and middle management level. The leaders are usually looking to review their leadership style and effectiveness and refresh their approach. Having researched the impact of executive coaching on building personal resilience as part of her Masters qualification she often integrates the skills to become more resilient into the work she does with clients.
Having held an executive role for a number of years she ensures that her coaching style is pragmatic and REAL, whilst at the same time encouraging clients to expand their leadership style and presence to have a greater impact but managing their own energy levels and life priorities.
Types of issues Jane has coached individuals on:
• Leadership competence generally (authentic leadership style and “voice”)
• Building personal resilience
• Influencing skills, holding confrontational conversations, planning & organising, leading through leaders, implementing company initiatives
• Developing leaders own coaching style and competence
• HR – building professionalism
• Making choices in life (career related)
